Bf2 windows 7 fix
I also got an error about bad drivers or something like that too. It's really annoying. Yea, ive also had problems with vista, but as for my windows 7 x64, most of my devices and drivers were installed automatically and work great but 1 or 2 couldnt be installed and I have used drivers from manufacture websites and just downloaded Vista x64 drivers for that device, it seemed to work.
Apparently PB doesn't like that, or it doesn't recognize that the drivers are fine. I may just uninstall BF2 though, I'm getting tired of messing with it. This is one of the biggest reasons I got a Xbox lol.
This worked for me! Now I will be able to switch completely to windows 7! Running Build , doesn't work for me I'm assuming the guide was written for later versions or something has changed along the way. BF 2 and BF both worked for me from the get go with Punkbuster The only problem i have with Punkbuster is with COD4, and i have tried replicating this process but applied to that, yet it still has a problem making calls to the API.
I've tried everything still didn't work, I'm facing the same problem. When I connect to a non-PB server the game runs perfectly that confirms that the problems is from PB. Running and COD4 seems to be running fine, Just make sure you run pbsetup so punkbuster is up to date. Search In. Share More sharing options Have fun, and never forget Moddb. They definitely add replay value to an old game. You should set players to 64 as well ;.
Hello everyone. After searching many forums and having absolutely no luck with the solutions given. I was on the verge of giving up and uninstalling the game when I started thinking, and came up with a solution that worked for me.
Here's the problem that I had: After installing and updating bf2 to the latest patch 1. The bf2 client would attempt to run, go into full screen and then crash. Modifying the shortcut to run in windowed mode would give an error saying "unknown dynamic option Since no matter what I would do the client would always attempt to run in x resolution I thought id play around with my monitors resolution.
Solution: Add a custom x resolution to your monitor. Apply it and run bf2. If that doesn't work. Try switching to GPU scaling on your graphic settings. Forward ports? Check anti-virus? Clear out all your logon information and then re-enter it? Disable network connection then enable? What happened more was that after being on a server for a couple of hours it would continuously lose connection until i rebooted.
Then it was fine for another few hours. But you can't even get that far. I am curious to know what kind of CPU you have?
